President Tinubu Reassures South-South Monarchs, Vows to Address Region's Development and Environmental Concerns

President Bola Tinubu affirmed his commitment to addressing the developmental and environmental challenges faced by traditional rulers in the South-South geopolitical zone. 

During a meeting with the South-South Monarchs Forum, led by His Royal Majesty, Major-General Felix Mujakperuo (Rtd), Tinubu emphasized ongoing efforts to strengthen Nigeria's resilience to climate change, promote environmental restoration, and advance infrastructure development while ensuring regional security. 

The President also commended the monarchs for their understanding of economic reforms, assuring Nigerians that the benefits of tough decisions, such as the removal of the fuel subsidy, would soon be evident. 

Tinubu called on the traditional institution to provide intelligence for holistic national development and assured prompt attention to their concerns. 

In response, His Royal Majesty, Major-General Mujakperuo, urged Tinubu to oversee tangible progress in the region's developmental efforts, expressing confidence in the President's commitment to finding lasting solutions to the challenges faced by the South-South.
